Denver TV news leader 9News was nice enough recently to come down to the Bitwire Media studio during a taping of the Aimless Agenda Show a few weeks ago and talk to me about podcasting and digital media and… play… my very first podcast… on the air. Painful.
Also included in the story, one of the nicest people I’ve ever known, Cali Lewis of GeekBrief TV!
That’s pretty amazing. I laughed (quite a lot) when I heard the bit about puberty and such…here’s the story:
So I had listened to the PPT Podcast/Show for some time and (this was about a year ago) I was familiar with most of the hosts, including yourself. When the PPT Show went under, I started looking for other podcasts and came across (on Kym’s blog) The Aimless Agenda Show. So I listen to episode 1 and hear Kym speaking in his awesome Australian accent, Jonathan with his New Orleans twang, and Christina talking about her mom. And of course this other guy, who hadn’t yet introduced himself. I listen for a few minutes and hear him say “And I’m Dave Moyer” and I did a double take. I went back and listened and episode of the PPT Show which I knew you were in and hear “I’m Dave Moyer” in this little kid voice and it’s all squeaky and stuff. I listen to “And I’m Dave Moyer on the Aimless Agenda Show” in this I’ve-already-gone-through-puberty voice and (it has to be said, and I’m sorry in advance) I start laughing. I start laughing and I can’t stop for about 5 minutes. My mom just looks at me like I’m crazy, and I go “Mom, it’s Dave Moyer!” and she shakes her head and walks off. Typical. But I had one of those “TING!” moments where it just connects and then you have a “Eureka!”
Anyway, that’s the story. Just thought you would enjoy it. Keep up the podcasting, we all certainly adore you!
