The Question Finally Answered: What Music Do I Listen To?

I get asked WAY too often what kind of music I listen to. And honestly, there’s really no particular genre or artist that I listen to more than others (though I do definitely have favorites, at the moment Lady Gaga, Ke$ha and MIKA). To prove that, though, here’s a little video.

For those of you who have asked how I got the sound direct from the iPod into the video, I connected it to the computer’s mic input with an aux cable. Then I recorded the audio in Audacity with software playthrough turned on so I could hear the music through the computer speakers, and later synced up what my Snowflake mic (which records audio for the video) heard with the Audacity recording. Pretty complex, but it worked!

PS. THE GUY IN THE GLASSES NEEDS A NAME! I’m fairly sure he’ll be making appearances in later videos, so he deserves a proper title! What do you think?

There is NOTHING Charming About These Bracelets!!!

You know those little metal charm bracelets with all the little decorated square thingies that all supposedly say something about you? Yeah. I HATE THEM. There is nothing charming about these bracelets, because they’re ridiculously hard to put together.

But put a million together we did (actually 89 to be exact) to prepare for a daddy-daughter ball. Fingers were pinched, but we made our TREAT SACKS. (Yeah, they’re called treat sacks!)

Bend and Snap Contest

Confession that will probably surprise very few of you: I am a musical theatre geek! Yep, it’s true. Broadway’s all over the iPod, I sing, I dance…. yeah. As a result, many of my friends are theatre crazies too, and this results in odd contests like the one in this video!

The City At Night… AGAIN!

Being a resident of the oh-so-elite Denver, Colorado area, I often find myself running around downtown for various reasons. This week I was down meeting some fun people for some new projects I’m working on (don’t you worry, you’ll hear about everything soon) and got to pop in on a few events with a conference that involves students in Historic preservation!

In the process, I also managed to get in one more tour of the city at night. It’s quite a scary place at… 8:37 PM. Thanks to Emily and Kyle for being awesome with me!!!

If you haven’t seen my first City at Night video, watch it here! :)
